Robert has been with the law firm for 27 years. His practice areas include Intellectual Property litigation, patents, trademarks, and copyrights filings and prosecution in the United States and internationally, unfair competition, and IP related contracts and licensing matters.

Robert is admitted to the Connecticut State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut and Vermont, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, District of Columbia, and Second Circuit. He is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Professional associations include the Connecticut Bar Association, Federal Circuit Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Hon. William C. Conner Inn of Court.

Robert's technical background includes degrees in Physics from the University of Vermont (B.A. Physics) and the University of Connecticut (M.S. Physics), and a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law. Prior to practicing law, he worked in aerospace and in medical device technologies.

Business owners rely on Robert for practical guidance on intellectual property matters, including building wealth by expanding their IP portfolios, and enforcing and protecting their intellectual property rights. Robert has tried patent, trademark, and copyright cases in federal court, and has defended clients and enforced patents at the International Trade Commission. This trial experience has made him an effective counselor, patent prosecutor, and advisor on intellectual property matters.

Outside the office, Robert enjoys reading, cooking, kayaking with his wife, and helping orchestrate his children's academic and sports endeavors.
